Virtual Delegate FAQs

  1. How do I access the virtual conference platform?

The virtual conference platform is called the Virtual Attendee Platform and you will receive a unique login link to access it via email before the event. Please log in at least 10 minutes before the start time.

  2. Do I need to download any software?

Most of the conference will be streamed directly through the Virtual Attendee Platform and will run through a web browser. Breakout sessions will be via a Microsoft Teams meeting link which will be shown within the breakout session information – you will need to click the meeting link and join via Teams. You do not need a Teams account to access the meeting but if joining as a guest please use the email address you registered for the conference with to ensure you are permitted into the meeting.

  3. What are the minimum technical requirements?

A stable internet connection, a computer or tablet, and speakers/headphones. You will be asked to stay on mute throughout and will not need to be on camera for the main sessions – for better interaction and engagement with the breakout sessions, you may be asked to turn on your camera and be given the opportunity to come off mute. The breakout session host will give further information if necessary.

  4. Will the sessions be recorded?

All sessions that can be recorded will be made available to all registered delegates after the conference. Some sessions cannot be recorded and shared due to compliance reasons, but these will be made clear in the session.

  5. What should I do if I have technical issues during the event?

Click on the Live Support button within the platform and this will connect you with one of the event team to support you.

  6. Can I ask questions during sessions?

Yes, we want you to engage with the session! Virtual delegates can submit questions via the Chat or Q&A function. Some sessions may also include polls or interactive features.

  7. Will I have access to the same content as in-person delegates?

Yes – we’ve built our Virtual Attendee Portal to ensure virtual delegates will have access to the same sessions, information and resources as our in-person delegates. The Virtual Attendee Portal allows you to visit and connect with the exhibitors and access their digital resources, connect with all other delegates via the Meeting Hub, view and vote for your favourite poster submissions for the SCPHN Student School Nurse and Academic categories, and win points to be in with a chance to win a free conference ticket next year.

  8. Can I network with other virtual attendees?

Yes – you can use the Meeting Hub within the Virtual Attendee Portal to connect and network with other delegates (both in-person and virtual!).

  9. How do I access presentation slides?

Slides and resources will be uploaded to the virtual platform or sent via email after the event.

  10. What if I cannot attend a live session?

You can watch the recorded sessions afterward at a time that suits you.

  11. Is my login link shareable?

No - your login is unique to your registration. Sharing it may result in access issues.
